This is a spectacular coastal walk, to me more enjoyable than the better known (and far busier) one between Bondi to Coogee. We started at Maroubra Beach and only last section from Boora Point to Malabar was less than brilliant. Otherwise, was totally immersed in nature, with highlights being spectacularly wild coastal views and the hardy heathland vegetation, home to lots of birdlife. You would never know you're only about 10 km from downtown Sydney. The track is well maintained, with much of it on boardwalks. Very quiet when we walked: a few other walkers, fewer (very energetic) runners and no dog walkers. (Nor should there be - it is a national park.)

One of many sea baths in Sydney – a walled-off section of ocean – this one is particularly popular with locals, and includes changing rooms, a picnic area, a kiosk and outdoor massages and yoga.
Fantastic views and a relaxing atmosphere reasonable price too even has yoga a few times a week so i’m told Doing yoga by the sea would be such an experience too

The Ritz is unquestionably the best cinema (complex) in Sydney. It maintains the original single auditorium with stalls and circle and many new, smaller screens. All have state of the art presentation but the original auditorium can project film stock including 70mm. We saw a preview of TENET and plan to come back to see it again at the Ritz in 70mm again. Social distancing practices in place made us feel safe to return to the cinema. Thank goodness for this!

First time going there and the beach was amazing, white sand and clear blue waters. The waves were decent and not dangerous to kids. If you walk further south there are two rock pools. Comparing this with Cronulla beach there were more lifeguards on the beach and patrolling this area. Summer day and scorching heat, the beach was packed. Parking was hard to find and took us a while to find parking. Once you find parking you hold it to dear life and maximise your stay.

Drive past Kingsford, past the old goal, and further again past the cemetary, until you reach the end of the road.....you'll be rewarded with a view from the northern mouth of Botany Bay....to the right you'll see Kurnell with the oil storage tanks and container yards in the distance, but on the left......the magnificent Pacific. Stroll down the path to the wooden bridge...sometimes it get VERY windy...bring a hoodie or beanie...or at least a scarf...it was blowing a gale there when I visited. Cross the bridge and down the stairs on the left....If it's low tide, you can clamber around the island...the weathered sandstone is marvellous, great walls have been carved out by wind and rain. During high tide, scuba schools frequent this spot, as the rock shelves make easy access to the deeper waters. Ample parking and a very large grassed area adjacent is perfect for picnics, but choose your days, as the wind could blow your sandwiches away!
