We stayed at Carney Avdat with our whole family . We loved every minute from the moment we arrived until we sadly had to leave! There is nothing that they haven’t thought of and you can just feel the love and dedication in creating this beautiful haven! Many of the rooms look out onto a mountainous view that takes your breath away! The morning breakfast is made fresh every morning and dropped at your door with everything you can think of ! This place brought me to tears as I was so touched by the heart and soul of the couple who created this piece of heaven ????????

A cultivated desert garden where the graves of the former Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion and his wife Paula sit at the edge of a steep cliff overlooking the magnificent landscape of the Zin Canyon and the Avdat highlands. The paths leading to the graves pass through a cultivated garden with indigenous plant life that thrives in the arid climate and saline conditions of the desert. Ben Gurion’s hut on Kibbutz Sde Boker has been preserved as it was on the day that he died, and it is open to visitors who wish to learn more about him. The national park has a picnic area, gift shop, hiking and camping equipment, an information center and cafeteria. The park is accessible to people with disabilities and is open throughout the day.
Other than the historical significance of those buried here (David and Pola Ben Gurion), the grounds on which the tombs lie are very nice and well maintained, full of grass, trees and flowers. And there are many Ibixes (mountain goats) running around, eating from the trees! And then there's the amazing view of the valley and Zin stream below, which is simply breathtaking. Worth a visit.
