Rajasthan (/ˈrɑːdʒəstæn/ Hindustani pronunciation: [raːdʒəsˈt̪ʰaːn] ( listen); literally, "Land of Kings") is India's largest state by area (342,239 square kilometres (132,139 sq mi) or 10.4% of India's total area). It is located on the north western side of the India, where it comprises most of the wide and inhospitable Thar Desert (also known as the "Rajasthan Desert" and "Great Indian Desert") and shares a border with the Pakistani provinces of Punjab to the northwest and Sindh to the west, along the Sutlej-Indus river valley. Elsewhere it is bordered by five other Indian states: Punjab to the north; Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to the northeast; Madhya Pradesh to the southeast; and Gujarat to the southwest.

We would be pleased to have you with us! We have kitchen that resembles your home kitchen,so that you are able to replicate the dishes at your place. Come enjoy a hands- On cooking class at ''Shashi Cooking Classes''
Shashi and her son gave an excellent class. We learnt how to make several dishes including masala chai, chutneys, pakoras, 3 types of curry and a range of breads. We did the evening class which started at 5.30 and we finished the dinner we’d prepared at about 10.30 - the time flew by! Everything was delicious - some of the best food we’ve had on our travels in India. Also, the class was good value for money for the time, quality of the food and teaching we received. Our group was 4 people (two couples) which was a perfect size - any more than that would have been difficult. It’s worth checking the size of the class when you book.

As a couple we arranged this cooking course in Pushkar and it was so lovely! Deepa is a very sweet woman who teaches wonderfully and with care. Her English is very good and her cooking even better! We made dhal, gobi curry and brown chapatis, which she arranged specially due to an allergy, and for which we are very grateful. Couldn’t recommend this class more. Make sure to come the day before to secure a time.

Over the past 15 years, Sushma has been providing cooking classes to foreign guests who have travelled to India from all different parts of the world. If you sign up for one of her classes, you will enhance your knowledge of cuisine, develop your own cooking skills and indulge yourself in an unforgettable, traditional Rajasthani celebration of food under the guidance of this passionate and experienced teacher! Sushma’s love for cooking began at the young age of 10 while watching her grandmother cook traditional Indian meals for her family. After dipping into many spice jars and creating her own unique Indian dishes, Sushma quickly found her place in the kitchen. Sushma admits she truly is a lover of food and for this reason when she is in the kitchen, she appears as graceful and contented as a queen in her palace. She is most alive and vibrant when sharing the wealth of knowledge she has about food with others who have an appreciation for food.
Sushma’s cooking class was brilliant! Firstly she is a lovely person! You learn how to make masala chai, 3 different curries, and breads - the perfect basis for Indian home cooking that you can take home with you. She takes you through each recipe step by step, is easy to follow and super fun! The food is delicious and authentic North Indian cuisine. Some of the best food I’ve eaten in Udaipur as well! You get a recipe card for the dishes you learn to make, and you can also buy a cookery book and spices. Make sure you arrive at the class with an empty stomach as you’ll be eating the dishes at the end! I loved this experience and can’t wait to cook the dishes for my family when I get home. Thank you Sushma!

Dining on our creations with the chef and his delightful wife, Geetika, was great fun. A terrific, authentic Jaipur experience.

Rajputana Football Club, was started about six years ago by a bunch of players, and it now is a huge footballing community. We take part in various tournaments in and around udaipur and are a very popular football institute of this city. The main ground is Field Club, and as its an open group, we invite one and all to join us in the evening for football. We have no coach, nor any training, our motto is "for fun and recreation", which is now turning a lot of heads. So, we welcome one and all to join us for a game of football. Our game style is very easy to adapt to, so you dont have to be a professional player to join us. None of the current players have been professionals, we all learned to play after joining the club. Even you can !!! ............And if you are a good player already or posses decent skills you would fit in very nicely ! We have now opened the official Football Academy so you can contact for details. We also recommend Lets Trip cycle Tours if you are looking for other activities, they are the best Udaipur !!!
