The 5,286-acre Nockamixon State Park is in the rolling hills of scenic Bucks County, close enough to Philadelphia or a day trip, but far enough away for a vacation. Tohickon Creek, Three Mile Run, and Haycock Run feed the 1,450-acre Lake Nockamixon, which is a rest stop for migrating waterfowl and a destination for boaters and anglers. Visitors can stay the night in a cabin or enjoy the many activities of the park for the day. Popular activities are picnicking, swimming in the pool, hiking, biking, disc golf, hunting, fishing, and boating. Seasons and Hours: The park is open every day of the year, sunrise to sunset. Day use areas close at dusk. The park office is open specific hours. Fishing and boating is permitted 24 hours a day in designated areas. Some park areas are closed to vehicles in the winter. Contact the park office for facility seasons and hours.
Beautiful park and scenery. We wanted to go kayaking however the lake was too large in my opinion. We did however enjoy just walking around and enjoying the views.

Seating is tight and the theater is very drafty, particularly if you are seated near a door. However, the theater is quaint and inviting as well as intimate. Shows are moderately priced and affordable for most everyone. Drinks and food are available before the show but expect to pay a premium. Seats are ok, a bit uncomfortable but doable. Great venue to enjoy a concert or event with friends without breaking the bank

Many of the reviews here are from people who scheduled ONE tandem jump at Skydive Philadelphia (located at Pennridge Airport, near Perkasie). That doesn't mean their perspective isn't valid, but I hope to provide a different perspective for people who may be interested in utilizing the services of this business.
I am an AFF student (learning to solo skydive) and recently spent a significant portion of four different weekends at Skydive Philadelphia, completing my AFF course. One of those weekends was attending a 5 hour ground school. At first I found the interactions with the staff to be a little brusque and not entirely welcoming, but with each additional visit I had better and better interactions as we warmed up to each other.
The other three weekends I spent literally hours around staff members in-between jumps, watching as they interacted with each other and with the numerous customers who had come for either solo jumps or tandem jumps. I probably witnessed at least 75-100 customer interactions and they were never rude or unprofessional. If anything the instructors did their best to make customers feel welcome and safe. I don't recall seeing anyone leave unhappy or dissatisfied after their skydive. There may have been a few frustrations with delays due to weather, but that's the nature of the sport, and it's purely for safety reasons.
As for my own interactions with the staff, I had three different instructors and they were all helpful and encouraging throughout my course. Their primary concern was safety, and it showed. They did their best to help me complete the program in a reasonable time and with minimal delays.
The equipment was new and in good condition, with the exception of flight suits. There weren't many options and the ones that did fit were noticeably worn with tattered leg cuffs. The helmets, goggles and containers and canopies were new though, and well cared for. The twin-engine King Air from which we jumped was the only aircraft available to the operation and appeared to be in good condition. The pilot was safe and friendly.
The facilities were sufficient. An upstairs lounge had chairs and tables. Outside, the waiting area had three or four picnic tables. Two porta-potties were available. There is no food at the airport, but there are good cafes within a short distance.
In summary, I found the operation to be run in a friendly, professional and safe manner.
Now... onto the sales and reservation process. Like many others, I made my reservation over the phone through a service provider called RushCube. Any attempt to call Skydive Philadelphia directly (unless you have their unpublished number) is actually routed through RushCube, a Georgia-based company that bills itself as an adventure service provider. In reality, it's a middleman and frankly, couldn't be less interested in your particular situation. They sold me the package without a full explanation that would have been relevant to someone who had no knowledge of the sport. They came very close to acting in a fraudulent manner, as once I had purchased the package and paid in full, I couldn't get anyone on the phone for almost half a week to schedule my jumps. Their answering system is flawed (it incorrectly prompts you) and it's extremely rare to get someone on the phone, unless you're calling the sales line. Nearly every time I called I got dumped into the voicemail system and had to wait for a return call, (due to 'high' volume). I'm fairly certain they only had one or two customer service people working there. When I threatened a refund, I finally had some movement on my situation.
I can't say enough about how displeasing it was to deal with RushCube. Avoid dealing with them at all costs.
The solution is go directly to the drop zone site, and speaking with the manager of the location. Book your service directly with them. You may save some money, and you will definitely save the frustration of dealing with snake-tongued sales people 900 miles away.
I give Skydive Philadelphia 4 stars. In reality they deserve 5, but since they are associated with RushCube I had to dock them. If I could rate them separately I would give RushCube the worst rating possible.

Flint Hill Farm is a 28 acre working dairy farm with active Educational Center offering over night farm stay and farm work experience for individuals and families through out the year.
We had a couple visiting New York from England, and wanted to give them a break from the hustle bustle of city sightseeing, so we booked an overnight stay at Flint Hill Farm, not really knowing what to expect. Well, we were thrilled! The farmhouse is beautiful, and Kathy and the other folk who work on the farm could not be more welcoming. It was a wonderful experience: we fed the chickens, played with the goats, stroked the Shetland pony and miniature horse, watched the cows being milked, and enjoyed the ducks, pot-bellied pig and the beautiful outdoors. Our sweet guide was Rebecca, who clearly loves the animals and told us so much about them.
There are three bedrooms in the farmhouse. Because it is an old house, it has only one bathroom so the ideal way to visit is with friends! The bedrooms are lovely - a couple have balconies - and the beds are very comfortable. There is a big kitchen and attached dining room, with a cozy sitting area around the fire. We were really in heaven.
Kathy, the owner, is absolutely incredible and lovely. She looked after us so well -- and goodness knows how she found the time with all she has to do on a daily basis. We woke up to the smell of oatmeal & date muffins baking in the oven, and came downstairs to a feast including freshly baked bread, just-made butter, homemade cheese and yoghurt, omelette made with eggs from the farm, and coffee with milk from the cows.
Kathy runs the farm as a not-for-profit and invites groups of children from the community to enjoy the farm experience. She also runs all kinds of other activities including cheese-making classes and horseback riding.
Thoroughly recommended for a family weekend away at any time of year.

Upper Bucks County's largest and most visited attraction featuring 100s of businesses and entertainment on site.
A very long indoor "market" with food and everything else under the sun. Vendors line the narrow walkways selling STUFF from furniture, perfume, gold, trinkets, shoes, animals, electronics, butcher meats... Quite an experience. But at least the vendors were no pushy.

I wish all my friends and family could experience the excellent services at Always Pretty. A calm, pleasant, artfully-decorated atmosphere greets me when I walk in, and each time I leave, I feel rejuvenated and cared-for. Not only do the people at Always Pretty help you feel more beautiful on the outside, but they can also help your inner being find refreshment through some of the treatments. They patiently describe services that you're not familiar with, or you can read descriptions on the website or brochure as well.
I especially love the Deluxe Facial-- Carol is adept with bringing a whole sense of youth and vitality to the skin as well as circulation, calm, and relief to facial muscles, neck, and upper shoulders. Every few minutes, there's another pleasant application or sensation. For a time after this lovely experience, I truly look and feel as though years have come off my appearance, and my worries disappear. I'd have it every week if I could, and would gift all my friends with this Always Pretty facial. It's well-worth every penny... and a great mother's-day or even father's day gift. Men would enjoy facials too, if they'd have encouragement to experience one like this!
SImilar things can be said for every other treatment I've had there-- the Deluxe Mani and/or Pedi are just the way they should be: thorough, dreamy, relaxing, and fun. You can sit in a massaging chair for part of it, and you come out feeling like a queen, with like-new hands and feet. As far as hair-styling, trimming, color, and the works-- the fact that Linda has so many devoted clients and is always busy says it all! She's efficient and sincere and will do everything to please you. If you're hanging out, having a mani or pedi, you're likely to see a few hairstyling clients leave there happy and looking a 1000 times better!
If possible, allow yourself time for at least a couple different services on the same day, because when I do that, I find myself more able to enjoy the nice atmosphere. And bring a friend, or enjoy a father-son day or mother-daughter day. I've seen others doing that, and they always seem happy and well-pampered by the people at Always Pretty. If you're on foot, there are several nice little shops within a couple blocks in Coopersburg, including "The Good Earth", just across the street.

A nice large park, lots of forests and green space, and of course the beautiful lake. It was clean and well maintained. Nice clientele. Plenty of parking.

Whenever we take friends to Casey's, they are pleasently surprised by the friendly pub atmosphere, extensive menu, and good food. We highly recommend what we claim are THE best roast beef sandwhiches in PA! The owner explains they prepare a fresh roast beef daily. We order ours with fresh horseradish. Cash only at Casey's. The owner always stops by to check on you and your order. We enjoy chatting with her and appreciate her Irish brogue. Visit; you'll be glad you did.

Started with shrimp cocktail, 6 shrimp, $6.95. Fair size, bland taste. Waitress admitted menu is old, not updated. Had wings, menu said 5, got 7. Hot was just barely, I've had better. Wife had cheesesteak, sauce was cold, not the best she said. Waitress was prompt and friendly, best part of the meal.

I went to see a performance of 'The Little Shop Of Horrors' in May. I had moderate expectations, yet found myself thoroughly enjoying this performance and laughing heartily throughout. My friends and I had a blast and I wholeheartedly recommend supporting the performances held at McCools. You could even have a glass of wine during the intermission. Go, it is a local gem.
