Amani was a wonderful guide - she strikes the right balance and was very good a meeting our wishes - she brought us to small passages in Oia and also in remote villages which are less touristic. She knows Santorini inside out and is full of positive energy . We were with our 6 year old daughter and she was perfect to connect with her , even prepared a small book about the history of the caldera and the volcano for our daughter . She speakers French as well so don't hesitate to book her for a private tour . As we were interested to have family photos in the beautiful scenery of Santorini we booked a photographer that came with us on the tour to take shots. Ask for MELINA KATRI . She is the photographer that came with us and did great shots .

We were recommended by some close friends who had visited Santorini before, to join the Classic Santorini Panorama private tour, as we were interested in visiting the most worthseeing spots of the island while being professionally guided. The 6 hour sunset tour we chose, started at noon by picking us up with a luxury van from our hotel. Our private guide, Michael, was a friendly handsome man, who really took very special care of us from the very first moment! His knowledge about the island and the history of each of the places we visited were obvious very soon, as much as the professionalism of the whole tour. We had an amazing time at the well known Black beach were we swam and enjoyed a traditional meal, and then at the unique and really impressive Red beach. Guided through the narrow streets of the picturesque villages of Megalochori and Pyrgos, and the monastery of Profitis Ilias at the top of the cliff with the spectacular views, was an experience that we couldn't get enough! Visiting Oia as the final destination of the tour at the sunset time, left us breathless, as it was much more than anything we had heard about! The whole tour was so comfortable and flexible, really respectful to our needs, that gave us a great experience of our vacation in Santorini island.

Whoever called this a walk didn't walk the caldera hike. This is a tough 6 mile up and down over some significant hills. In some places, it is a bit dangerous, and definitely not suitable for children. Having said this, the views are spectacular and well worth the effort.
