Great beginners surf lesson with Dave and Annabel, particularly for the children. The lesson was re-scheduled twice and moved to another beach to make best use of the conditions, with great communcation from the shop agreeing and informing about the change of plans. Great use of local knowledge to get the best out of our session - thanks for the effort. I have seen and given many watersport lessons, as a sailing and windsurfing senior instructor, and I was very impressed by Dave and Annabel’s energy and enthusiasm, plus the effort they put in to ensuring that each child in the session got individual coaching and was able to progress to standing in a single session. Even details like learning names (hard) and helping those who were struggling. The only downside is it cost me a fortune as I had to buy a surf board, as a birthday present for my 12yo after the lesson as he was so enthusiastic afterwards! ???? All the best, and see you soon,

I am lucky enough to come here every week for a Welsh language course. Everything about this place is lovely. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the art and ceramics on display (and for sale) are very tempting; and the cafe serves great coffee and food. Today we had our Christmas lunch, they kindly set us up in one of the exhibition rooms, I’m not normally a fan of commercial Christmas dinners as they tend to be an opportunity to sell poor quality at an inflated price, not so here. The turkey was plentiful and moist, pigs in blankets and stuffing - very tasty - and more than enough vegetables. The after lunch coffe/tea was served with mince pie - can’t normally stand the stuff but this was gorgeous, accompanied by friendly service we all had a lovely lunch thank you Diolch yn fawr iawn, cinio Nadolig blasus iawn

St Peter’s is the Parish church of Pwllheli and part of the Church in Wales ministry area of Bro Enlli. Built in 1886 to replace the former parish church it is grade 2 listed. Built by the eminent church architect Aldrich Scott and containing many fascinating historical stained glass windows it’s worth spending some time enjoying the beauty of the building itself. It is also home to the re-opened medieval Shrine of Our Lady of Pen Llyn and houses the important relic of a piece of the Veil worn by the Blessed Virgin Mary at the foot of the cross. This can be viewed by appointment. Open most days Tuesday to Sunday 9am-3pm there are also various weekly activities Sunday - Sung Mass 10.30am Tuesday - Weekday Mass 10.30am, Free Lunch 12pm, Foodbank 2-3pm Wednesday - Rural Market (March-December) 9am-12pm, Parent & Toddler group 1pm-3pm Friday - Free Lunch 12pm, Foodbank 2-3pm, Meditation & Benediction 3pm Saturday - Shrine Mass of Our Lady of Pen Llyn 10am

With over 13 things to do, there’s fun to be had, whatever the weather, at Glasfryn Parc on the Llyn Peninsula. Race around the flood-lit Go-Kart Circuits, practice your aim at Clay Pigeon Shooting, Archery or Crazy Golf. Or get inside for Ten-Pin Bowling and to let the kids burn off energy in the Soft Play area. Our beautiful lakes are home to an Aqua Park where you can learn to Wakeboard, with qualified instructors, or if you’re an experienced wakeboarder, challenge yourself on the many obstacles. Adrenaline seekers should head for the tower and leap onto ‘The Blob’, sending your friends flying through the air into the lake. Or, if you’re after a more relaxing water sport, why not take in the stunning mountain views on our kayaks or SUP’s Glasfryn Parc. A day’s family fun, whatever the weather. . Parking and entry are free. Glasfryn is open from 9.30 am every day of the year (apart from Christmas Day).
We visited Glasfryn Parc today and did clay pigeon shooting followed by archery. The extremely lovely gentleman who gave great help and instruction to myself and my husband was fantastic and made sure we were safe and above all had great fun and a great experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our first time at shooting and would like to thank him for his time and kindness. We also enjoyed the archery. There are many different sports and games to take part in and enjoy here and we would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.
