We made the mistake of using Google maps to navigate to the Park - don't do it. The road leads you to Baceno and ends there. We backtracked to Varzo and tried to get to the Park from there. That access road is narrow, windy and pretty much runs through people's houses. Not for the lighthearted or the motion sick.
Great vistas along the way, once you make it to the road. Word to the wise, however, its probably best to let the locals pass you as they are well-versed with the curves and comfortable going much faster than a new person would.

Cook on the Lakes

Cook on the Lakes is an Italian Cooking School on the Lake Maggiore, in the north of Italy. ALL COURSES HAVE HANDS-ON PHILOSOPHY! Every course has its own goals. We'll start to prepare the food all together as a group. We will know the recipes and their history, learn the basic skills, cook them. Usually all the lessons will start in the morning around 9 PM; we will work the whole morning until the food is ready and then we have lunch together; if your partners are around, they can join us for a small fee. When the course is finished, we will take pictures with your Italian cooking diploma and I'll give you a special souvenir to take home. Enjoy the location, totally surrounded by the nature and at the edge of the woods. On warm seasons the vegetables and other natural products will be available from my garden, from Germano's, my neighbour, a wise and expert gardener, and from the nearby local market place. If the weather is fine, we'll enjoy the food we cook outside in the garden and in the sun! See you soon!!! Francesca

Food prepared was delicious. We had the added pleasure of Francesca's husband joining in. Overall a wonderful experience. We look forward to repeating, and hope to have Francesca to our house if she ever travels to New York in the future.

Who is planning to spend an holiday period on the Lago Maggiore (Italy), is warmly
suggested to plan a visit to the Cascata del Toce (Foce Falls). This water fall is located on Mountains over the Domodossola town.; about. 1500 meters on the sea level.. From the main resorts of the lake, it takes (depending on the route) about one and a half, two hours, driving,. The suggested period is the summer time from june to the end of september.. It’s recommended to get in advance information on the water full running hours and days too. The visit could take not more then an half a day but I suggest to planning a full day. In fact could be very agreable to have your lunch in a local restaurant, eating local mountain meals
