A free to enter museum with a British passport (at the moment) we were able to wander at leisure through a magnificent exhibition of religious art by one of Sevilles greatest exponent from the 17th Century. The statues were exceedingly lifelike and the paintings were real works of art. Well worth the 2 hours we spent which seemed like half an hour

Museo Militar Regional

Reviewed By Brucestewart - Livingston, United Kingdom

We came across this interesting museum purely by chance. We were visiting the Plaza de Espana for a second time when we saw the signs for the museum. I'm a student of military history, with the Penisular War against Napoleon being one of my particular passions, so in we went as I knew that it would have much to interest me. Admittance is free although there is a donations box close to the exit point. We had to leave our bages in a locker from which we took the key and then had to pass through a scanner to enter the museum. I usually set such machines beeping as I have two metal hips, always a troublesome issue at airports, but I didn't set this scanner off. Perhaps someone should check out its settings? Anyway I found the museum to be fascinating with a great range of exhibits including model soldiers, uniforms, weapons both old and modern, ammunition, flags, coaches, cannon, gas masks including one for a horse, medals, buttons, unit shoulder patches, models of forts, the list is endless. Well worth visiting.

The necropolis of Carmona is a very interesting area for everybody interested in history and traditions. When we were there, a flock of schoolkids with their teachers were there enacting old Roman rituals, and we saw them again in town, enthusiastic and playful with their spears and shields. What a great way to teach children about history and tradiitions. The graves of the necropolis are very varied, some small and shallow, others deep and grand. And the entrance is free.

Museo PALACIO de la condesa de lebrjais a house-museum in central Seville, you must take a private tour in order to visit the upper floor of the house. Dating to the 16th century and remodeled between the 18th and 20th centuries. The art collections of the house are very interesting and and unique which included a veriety of Roman mosaics and other antiquities as well as Asia art and even a couple of European master-Rubens paintings. The interior of the palace is decorated in a palette of architectural styles, with elements such as Moorish arches, Plateresque decoration, tilework retrieved from ruined convent, a coffered ceiling from a 16th-century palace and a Renaissance frieze, while its façade and layout reflect typical Andalusian style. This mansion is interesting and different compared to other attractions in Seville. I like here much and it's very Instagrammable and photogenic. Don't miss it if you love to post photos in social media. It's definitely will catch a lot of attentions.

Centro de Interpretacion Juderia de Sevilla

A center of interpretation dedicated to explaining the history of the Jewish quarter of Seville, its history and cultural achievements. Enjoy ours walking tours "Begins with a visit to the exhibition of the Center of approximately 40 minute in which the goal is to come to a historic understanding of the plight of the Jews in Seville (massacre of 1391, inquisition, expulsion, etc.) Through primary source documents from the inquisition, two statutes of the "blood cleansing," a painting by Joaquin Turina and Areal about the expulsion of the Jews of Seville, a masterpiece and gem of the exhibition. Then, for an hour and 20 minutes, there will be a walk around the most interesting points of the biggest neighborhood of Jewry in all of Spain (remnants of walls, synagogues, the cemetery, Verde street, which is where the massacre of 1391 occurred, ancient ritual baths of Mikue, etc.)"
