Ciatu ALAB

Ciatu was founded by young, creative crafters who have decided to get together and give birth to new brands. Innovation and tradition blend to create objects made from leather and recycled inner tubes. All made entirely by hand. The products realised by Elena Gambino and Fabrizio Lisciandrello are entirely handmade. From the cutting to the sewing, each item is created without the use of machinery or electric power. Inspired by the fusion of traditional crafts with cutting edge design, every item they produce is unique, and displays an individual character impossible to achieve with modern mass-production. The majority of leather used in the creation of their work is vegetable tanned; a process using natural tannins obtained from trees, such as oak, mimosa or chestnut. Tyre inner-tubes are also used as a modern, 100% recycled material. Contains no animal product
