Amazing place! A beautiful house with an incredible history. We arrived out of hours (there is one tour a day, alternating between Italian and English, I think at around 11am) but Maria the manager gave us a personal tour anyway (for a small but completely reasonable fee). The 'secret room' is incredibly special.

The Museum "Messina in the 1900s" tells the visitor the recent history, that of the last one hundred years with the event of not dispersing the tangible historical and cultural heritage, through synergy with public institutions, starting from the Regional Department of Culture and Sicilian Identity, the Superintendence for Cultural Heritage of Messina, as well as with the support and interest of a dense network of private collectors and important associations not exclusively local. The Museum is located in the city center, on Viale Boccetta, near the motorway junction, obtained thanks to the recovery of the premises of the former "Cappellini Antiaircraft Bunker shelter"

Medioexpo is a permanent exhibition of medieval gowns and accessories, these are handcrafted with experimental archeology techniques. In fact, within the structure are the laboratories where it is mostrrato as every item has been realized.
