This tower is easily recognizable: it has a leaning tree growing out of its top.

Lucca's Duomo (Cattedrale di San Martino)

We paid €9 each for the ticket which allowed you to climb to the top of the bell tower (you need a good head for heights), into the spectacular cathedral and into the museum. We thought it was great value for money, the views were amazing, the stained glass windows and paintings were beautiful and the museum was great. We highly recommend this.

Bagno Irene

We were lucky enough to to have beds and a parasol for free at Irene Beach as part of our hotel package. It's a very well kept area of the beach and the service is spot on. Every dish we tried in the restaurant was excellent, well I did sample the Warm Seafood Starter (enough for a very satisfying lunch on its own!) three times! It was delicious each time, slightly different depending on what seafood was available but always good. As was the pasta and the Tuna Salad. Of course if you fancy a change you can nip to the supermarket for something and eat that on your sunbed but the food and drink here is such good value you really don't need to.

We visited Lido di Camaiore in July for the first time, it has a wonderful ( and clean ) promenade and beach. The pier is great to stroll out to with fabulous views to the sea and mountains, its a nice welcome breeze too in the summer. there is a handy cafe / bar at the end which opens at around mid day and into the evening.
