The seminary is located on the site of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity, founded by Patriarch Photius I almost a thousand years before the foundation of the theological school. In 1844, Patriarch Germanos IV converted the monastery into a school of theology, which was inaugurated on 1 October 1844. The facilities include the Chapel of the Holy Trinity, dormitories and the school's library.

One of the inhabited Princes' Islands where cars are not allowed and Istanbul residents maintain their summer homes.
We live in Istanbul and we regularly go to the islands thru summer and winter (when not rainy). All Istanbul islands are beautiful, namely more beautiful than each other but we prefer Kınalıada because it is less busy, more silent, calmer and more natural. Especially the rear part of the island is so nice. There is a small place we hang in where you can use sunbeds, eat and drink and the prices are ok, too. It also makes us feel good when the circulate the island fully by walking as we breath the sea weather.
