What to do and see in Prince Edward Island, Prince Edward Island: The Best Things to do Good for Couples

June 2, 2021 Kaleigh Reichenbach

The landscape that inspired Anne of Green Gables entices legions of lovers to Canada’s smallest province. Peaceful P.E.I. is a slow paced haven, full of distinctively Maritime delights. Red sandstone cliffs rise above gentle beaches. Lonely lighthouses dot rocky bluffs. Deserted trails beckon for romantic roaming.

Cavendish Cliffs

Reviewed By Kaymtravel7 - Los Angeles, United States

This is a must do when visiting PEI. We only had time to view the cliffs from above, but they were spectacular. It is a wonderful place to take photos, and I could’ve spent much longer strolling around and enjoying the views. The ocean waves have such a powerful and majestic sound. It’s fascinating to see the red clay everywhere.

Copper Bottom Brewing

We are Kings County, PEI's first craft brewery. Featuring great beer and world class entertainment year-round, Copper Bottom acts as a community hub for locals & friends to come together for a cold pint over-looking the beautiful Montague River.

Great craft beer made in house. The view off the deck of the river is beautiful. A relaxed atmosphere is found inside with community tables, as well as a few private tables as well/ Bar tenders are super friendly and very knowledgeable as well. The live entertainment is among some of the best PEI has to offer. The biggest down side for us is they don't serve food. You are welcome to take in food from elsewhere, but it is not the same when half your party has to leave for 25-30 minutes to get some. Other than that, this is a must stop in Montague.

This is a spectacularly beautiful area that you must see if you're in the area. With lovely forests, gorgeous beaches and scenery for miles, it's got something to appeal to everyone. We enjoyed some great hiking, a short walk on the beach and a scenic drive along the coast.

Cavendish Beach

Large beach located in the northern part of the island, popular with walkers, sunbathers and swimmers.

I loved seeing the cliffs off Cavendish Beach. You can go in through the national park entrance or straight to the beach. We took some of the best pictures all along this coast line and there are spots to stop and explore down onto the shore below. There are also bike trails that run through the national park so you could park and do the beach and the trails from the same spot.

Very nice trail, due to short time, we cycled from St.Peters to Morrel and back. The trail goes along the north coast and beautiful views. I plan to go back and cycle the entire trail.

Lots of parking , change rooms are close to the beach with a place outside so you can rinse off the sand off , short walk across the road is the beach with life guards and swimming area that is roped off. Beach is clean and enough room to practice social distancing. Beach and water are so clean, definitely coming back

Stayed in a cabin at the park and it was awesome! Close to the beach, great shower and laundry facilities, quiet. Great location to explore the east side of the island which has wonderful beaches, local concerts, fewer tourist crowds of the west/ North Coast. Easy hop over to Nova Scotia.
