Equestrian Park is a family business, located in the area of amvrakikos gulf, 10 minutes from the center of Preveza. Enjoy horse rides by the sea, in the forest and have a view of the city from above , according to your riding ability. Equestrian Park is open all year round as we offer ring lessons and therapeutic riding.
We cannot be happier with the guys at the park. We got a class of about 30 minutes to get comfortable and a bit confident on the horse base on a couple of exercises. While that, our instructor told us a lot about the nature of the horse so you can understand better the way they act and their behavior. After that we went for a long and pleasant walk. My favorite part was the visit to the beach where the landscape is simply amazing. The horse couldn't have a better behavior and be nicer than what it was. Really nice experience overall.

Oh what a day, I booked a day trip which, went from the harbour at 10am We sailed up along the little beaches until we join the river estuary and sailed up into it, taking in the beautiful scenery with swallows, swifts and house martins flying high and low across the river, just taking a dive and skimming the river surface for a well needed drink. It was beautiful to watch as I sat at the front of the boat taking dozens of photos. We then headed back out to sea and carried on along the coast to a cave where the captain steered the boat into it. A few tourists on the boat dived in and swam in the clear blue water. I couldn’t resist either and found it refreshing and quiet mentally moving too! We then headed to a little beach for lunch and swimming, the captain said “ be really for 5pm as we will head back home”. True to Greek time, the captain returned at 6pm! So typical of Greece! We entered the port just as the sun was setting, an amazing day enjoyed by all.

Nicopolis is an ancient city that was built on 31 B.C by Octavios after the batle of Aktio. If you translate it from Greek to English Nicopolis, means the city of victory. It is placed just outside the town of Preveza. It is great for someone that is interested in ancient history to visit that place. Also the museum that they recently built near the ancient city of Nicopolis is one of the most moderate and intresting musuems in Greece.
The site is where Augustus founded the city after defeating Mark Antony and Cleopatra at the Battle of Actium. The museum is located near the site and can be visited with the same ticket. The museum has a rich collection of exhibits, from the 1st century BC to the 7th century AD. Exceptional early Christian mosaics can be seen on the site.
