After eating dinner last night the wife and I decided to take a stroll on whiskey row to grab a drink. We stumbled upon the Bird Cage as it reminded my wife of a bar you would find in Boston (our hometown) so we decided to stop in. Didn't know what to think when we entered. It almost gives that vibe like its a hole in the wall type of bar. there was probably about 6 other people in there and very quiet so we figured "ok one drink and done" To our surprise within 30 minutes the place started to fill up more and more. All of a sudden a band started doing their sound checks so we thought "hmmm lets stay awhile" Ended up having a great time. Everyone in there was extremely friendly and that includes the staff and the patrons. We found the drinks to be very cheap in cost, yet the drinks were nice and stiff if you know what I mean. Before you know it one drink and gone turned into 3 hours of laughing, smiling, and listening to a great band play. The crowd was alive, and everyone was visibly enjoying themselves. I would highly recommend this place to anyone walking by looking for a bar on whiskey row. Keep in mind what I said early in the review If you get there and everything seems quiet and slightly dull....Just stick around for awhile and watch the night come alive as people begin to pour in.
