Clear, cool(er) water. I would have liked to have stayed at the beach much longer, but I was exhausted from the trek to the cave. It has the nicest beach water of all the beaches I have visited on the gulf.

Just a quick visit to check out the beach for a future trip. Beautiful place and when the little one is older will return for a day out...

Hua Hin Beach. The beach from our hotel the Centers Beach Resort was easily accessible. There are long flat stretches of amazing sand in both directions. The sea was calm and warm which made paddling delightful. Food and drink was availablel at beach cafes. Horses replace donkeys for those who prefer to ride rather than walk. The beach was never crowded even at weekends during our stay and is popular with Kite Surfers.

This beach was recommended and we went on a Thai national holiday so it was lovely to see a beach that wasn't full of just Europeans on sunbeds. It gave it a totally different feel. You have to go through an army checkpoint to get onto the beach. There are some small shops and a restaurant if you want something to eat. If you go along the beach towards Takiab, there is a hotel where you can sit and get a drink (no food that day as it was NYE and they were preparing for their gala dinner)The sea was shallow and good for swimming and you could rent a deck chair for pennies.

Khao Takiab Beach is relaxing. I don't usually do sun loungers under an army of parasols. I hate being burnt. However, this beach got me good. I was paddling, swimming, reading (a full Jack Reacher novel), and eating the most delicious food (by the Blue Wave Resort pathway). Some memories will never leave you. That was a good two days of visits to such a long and active - yet quiet beach. So much to watch, so much to see.
