Clay pigeon shooting with Matt was absolutely fantastic! First time for both of us and we had an amazing time. Fun, safe, and competitive. Matt makes you feel relaxed and at ease immediately, fires kept us from freezing too too much, and we were both able to hit quite a few! Would recommend clay pigeon shooting for anyone visiting Skye - and you get to meet famous Blaze the dog too!

Really helpful staff, explained everything very clearly and had lots of information to hand. We picked up a map of the Scorrybreac circuit from here.

Bursting with bright ideas for gifts and souvenirs.Tippecanoe is centrally placed on the main street in Portree the bustling, picturesque 'capital' of Skye. We are open all year round providing a fun shopping experience for all ages. A wide range of carefully chosen prints, books, jewellery, candles, ceramics and cuddly toys....many locally made, many handmade in Scotland or fairly traded from around the world. Friendly service with a big smile too :-)
I always try to buy a piece of art every time I go away but it’s usually something small, a print of about £20-£30 but I had worked hard throughout lockdown and decided to treat myself. It was going to be a piece of jewellery until I saw some art work I loved in Skye (Portree) . I had visited a couple of shops in the town, one of which I saw art I loved but disliked the way I heard the staff speaking to customers and the fact the art was sold as limited but not signed or numbered. I went to Tippecanoe and saw the same artist’s work but signed and numbered and also fully framed. The woman who served me was so chatty and friendly and absolutely understood that this was a big purchase for me. She was attentive to other customers while I was taking up her time. I found the shop inviting, the staff very friendly and the stock was extensive. I’d definitely go back and definitely recommend it to friends and family if they are ever in Skye
