The performance of the Museum as a channel for the diffusion of knowledge takes place through its exhibitions. Elaborated to awaken the curiosity and the taste for the sciences, they value the participation of the visitor who, when engaging in unusual and playful experiences, becomes the protagonist of their own learning. With interactive experiments and thematic exhibitions, the Museum is a unique space, full of fun and unusual experiences for visitors of all ages. O Museu da UFRGS, desde sua criação, em 1984, vem trabalhando com a Memória e a Identidade da UFRGS e da cidade de Porto Alegre, seja por meio de exposições temáticas, seja como local de pesquisa através de seu acervo. Com o objetivo de potencializar a interação da sociedade com a produção técnica, científica e cultural da Universidade, o Museu consolida sua proposta de articulação entre os diferentes saberes das disciplinas, possibilitando a construção do conhecimento em um espaço museológico. Por meio de suas exposições, o Museu procura proporcionar aos visitantes experiências únicas, que aliam fruição, lazer e conhecimento, tornando o público protagonista de sua aprendizagem. Dessa maneira, o Museu da UFRGS oportuniza a ampliação da atuação docente e da vivência discente, promovendo, assim, o intercâmbio de aprendizados entre Universidade e comunidade.
