What to do and see in Portland, Oregon (OR): The Best Sports Complexes

July 30, 2021 Vivienne Hutton

You’ll wonder why you don’t live in Portland after you’ve visited this laid-back and friendly city. With a reputation for manicured parks, eclectic nightlife, fine micro-breweries and distilleries, and nature that cuts right into the city, Portland’s a Pacific Northwest must-visit. Don’t miss the famous Japanese Garden, one of the largest and most beautiful of its kind outside of Japan.

Rose City Rollers

Went to my first roller derby to see the Rose City High Rollers. I was not disappointed. They have won 4 times as World World Champions. The place was constant activity and excitement. One of the gals took time to explain the game to us so we could understand what was going on. The hanger offers food/drinks, but it's cash only. Parking is free. Get there early for a good seat. Loved it. Get tickets online.

I'm really not sure if the sound problem was due to Elton John's team of the Center's team? Elton John was fabulous. We sat in the 300 level to the left of the stage. Most of the time the sound was great and he sounded fabulous. There were times when the sound was far too loud and it made the experience of those songs less thrilling.
