I went on the week-long MINT Technical Performance Camp in Morzine/Avoriaz to improve my fledgeling snowboarding. I had a really great experience with the MINT coaches I encountered. The camp is extremely well organised and people can be moved from one group to another if required, depending on their skill level and needs. My coaches were Jorge and Gerard, and I couldn't have been happier with their instruction and coaching styles. Everyone I hung out with from the MINT team in the bar/at dinner were really friendly and fun people. The arrangement with Treeline Chalets for airport transfers, accommodation and food is excellent and it was the best chalet experience I've had so far. I started the week as a not-quite-beginner, not-yet-intermediate and by the end of it I was boarding with so much more fluency, confidence and technique than I could have envisaged, definitely got out of the experience more than I had expected. One initial concern was that as a 32-year old I would be attending a camp full of teenagers/the gap year crowd, but I was informed by the MINT team prior to booking that the age ranges mostly between 25 and 60-something, and this was exactly what I found - a great group of people of all ages to spend a week with as a solo traveller (the vast majority of people here were also solo travellers). I would recommend this camp for anyone from absolute beginner to more advanced and I will certainly be returning for another week next season.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Morzine. Our 2 young children (aged 3&5) had their first private lesson with Tom-who was a well experienced lovely guy! I would highly recommend this company! Tom had a great approach towards our boys and clearly instructed them through out their lesson (from putting on their skis to checking their clothing and finally ensuring they learnt, listened and had fun!) Thank you to all at BASS!! online booking was informative and well instructed!! Excellent service!! From Laura, Glen, Tom & Fyn McCready

Skiwithease really was so easy to deal from the initial booking as Lorna responded very quickly with clear communications & then they helped me ski easily! I had an absolute ball with Miha yesterday - made my holiday (& birthday!)! He had so much patience, improved my confidence massively & his teaching methods were brilliant - definitely the best ski lesson I’ve ever had! Highly recommend!

Our whole family with three children aged 10 to 14 all had a go. Impeccably organised and safe. Consequently there will be a queue on busy days, better that than an accident.

The first time we went to Avoriaz with our kids (then aged 4 and 5) we booked lessons with ESF for them and they were randomly allocated Fanny M. as instructor. She is so nice with the kids, they learn a lot and yet have lots of fun! As our kids loved the week with Fanny, we now always as for lessons with her and our kids just love it. When going through the comments left by other users, it probably depends less on ESF as an institution, than on the individuals. All we can recommend is: ask for Fanny M.!

Brilliant chance to meet the mountain goats. This is well worth the trip to walk through the village and feed the goats. The shops sell goat food and the friendly goats will allow you to hand feed them although some of the cheekier ones will definitely try to pinch the whole bag. If you don't fancy eating so close to the odour of goat pop a short walk up the hill will take you to Kes Marmottes restaurant where you can try the best burgers in the Alps. The VTT special is 13 Euros for a burger, fries and a drink or pizza, fries and a drink.

Aquariaz has been designed as an aquatic paradise in the mountains featuring lush vegetation and rocks… at 1800m!
At 1800 feet above sea level where the snow stays till the end of April in Avoriaz in the French Alps the biggest surprise is to find that you can be in the tropics! Imagine that when you have been skiing in the freezing cold. This is because of the water experience called Aquariaz , which was built in 2012, which is an indoor warm paradise. It has spurting jets and tiles and rope that takes you down into the swimming area via a Lazy River. This is a great feeling. Jets under the water push you along but it is not too deep, probably just over a metre, and it winds its way around interesting plants and palm trees from the southern hemisphere. My grandsons were absolutely delighted to be there. They were up and down the curly water slides and tubes which were quite safe for 2 year old boys. Parents could choose to sit in deckchairs and chill out in the lounge in the outdoor pool with a Jacuzzi. For the more energetic there are underwater bicycles that have their frames fixed to the bottom. A photographer took some beautiful photographs of the children and myself. All the while there were plenty of lifeguards about. The great thing is that you could look at the view out of the window across the water and its surface becoming part of the mountain horizon. Floors were non-slippery mosaic. Everything was easy to negotiate. I even left my disability scooter just inside the entrance and it was looked after. The lockers were very easy to use as was the disabled toilet. My only real complaint was that there was no café area but you can’t have everything when you are enjoying a South Sea island in the winter sun!
