Located just 20 mins drive north of Newcastle, adjacent to the entrance to RAAF Base Williamtown at Newcastle Airport, Fighter World is a totally ‘hands on’ experience. Exhibited in two hangars, visitors can walk-around and look into the cockpits of some of the Air Forces most iconic aircraft such as the first Vampire jet built in Australia and the mighty F-111C. Conveniently located adjacent to the main hangar, the Fighter Beans Cafe offers a range of snacks and light meals as well as cold beverages and steaming hot espresso coffee and of course free WiFi means you can stay abreast of what’s happening at home. Stay cosy inside or venture outdoors to enjoy the noise and action of an operational Air Force Base. The choice is yours. Make sure before you leave you visit the Fighter World Shop where you’ll find a wide range of books, souvenirs and models available. Fighter World is disable friendly and open every day (except Christmas Day) 10am to 4pm. Some COVID restrictions may apply.
Visited Fighter World with my wife. It was a great experience. They have a great number of Jets to look at and great displays. It was amazing watching Jet Fighters from the RAAF taking off and landing from the viewing platform. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful community art centre where one is spoilt for choice. Great selection of art works and various mediums from paintings, sculpture, pottery, mosaics, jewellery, crochet, seeing and glass work to name a few. Prices very reasonable for quality art works. Pleasantly surprised. The gardens surrounding and cafe looked lovely to had I more time. Purchased a gorgeous pottery lighthouse by artist Roger Rigby.

Arts and Crafts Gallery, Community, not for profit organisation. Large variety of handmade arts and crafts including embroidery, woodcraft, glassware, textiles, artwork including oils, acrylics, pastels and more. A place where like-minded people can meet and do what they love with like minded people and put up for sale what they have made. All volunteers are the artists and artisans themselves.
This is a lovely community gallery. I was there on the weekend. A lively group of people were in the room reserved fore courses. The main Gallery has some beautiful pieces of artwork along with many craft, woodwork and jewelry items on show. Great feeling and very friendly helpful volunteer staff. Definitely worth stopping in to have a look.
