Ewens Ponds is a series of three water-filled limestone sinkholes on Eight Mile Creek 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of Mount Gambier and 8.4 kilometres (5.2 mi) east of Port Macdonnell, South Australia. The ponds are popular with recreational divers due to underwater visibility of up to 80 metres (260 ft).
Hire wetsuits, and all the gear from east Allendale general store. Friendly staff, clean and new gear, well priced. The water is freezing but when suited up you could stay in for hours....though you can only stay in for 1 hour. You need to book your snorkel or dive with parks SA. and you book a time slot as a minimum of 2 people can go and a max of 6 each hour. Wonderful experience, gentle current takes you through the 3 ponds/sinkholes. Great clarity. A must do

This is a local secret and one of my favourite places to swim, so refreshing. Some big blow flies that bite, so better in the water than out Hidden Gem
