Maine state park is home to Owl's Head lsighthouse.
There was a small walk on a gravel road with an incline to get the lighthouse, just a heads up. Beautiful lighthouse with incredible views from the top.

If we are in mid-coast Maine, we make a trip to the Marshall Point lighthouse. Usually we stop at the general store to have light hors d'oeuvres at one of the outside picnic tables, which wasn't a possibility this year. It is perfect for a sunset visit, which is why we've never taken in the museum (it looks quite delightful). You can enjoy a meander on the rocks and take in an optimal view of the light while the golden sun hits the gleaming white of the house and light. Gorgeous grounds with spots of history all around you. This is one of the most spectacular lights in the world and we've been grateful to have visited it so often. After a visit, you can usually catch a bite at one of the local restaurants. There are a few that are decent.
