Washington Lavender is an oceanfront lavender farm on ten acres in the Sequim Valley overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca between Sequim, and Port Angeles, Washington. Home of fine "Martha's Own" lavender products and the George Washington Inn, a B&B replica of George Washington's home.
While driving out of Olympic National Park, we saw the sign to the Washington Lavender Farm and decided to have a look. We were pleasantly surprised to see that Lavender grows all the way up in Washington (We always thought that it is confined to Provence in France......). The little store is quaint and has some nice souvenirs and lavender products. The B&B house at the end of the grounds is magnificent, with great ocean views.......Pity we didn't know about it when planning our trip....What a grand place to stay!! We did, however, take the path to the cliff overlooking the ocean.....Beautiful. Lovely Lavender farm!! Great Surroundings and Setting!!

Saw a print in the window of two spruce trees against a soft sunset sky, and had to take a closer look. When the shop owner saw my husband and dog outside, they were invited in (Mr. B is a respectful customer). I saw SO many intriguing things: handmade plates and mugs with darling art (was tempted by the kingfisher), field guide journals, cotton tea towels. I was restrained and just bought the print and a cunning twine holder made from an antique bobbin. I go to a lot of gift shops, and this was one of the more elegant and thoughtful I have seen that was moderately priced.
