Porsgrunn Museum The Parsonage, built 1784, is the best-preserved parsonage in Telemark, and other 18th century houses typical for this region surround it. The beautiful garden from the last part of the 18th century is reconstructed with historic documented plants.

Brevik Church was built in 1963. It is a work church with congreation rooms. The altarpiece was painted by Terje Grostad. The church also has golden leather chairs made by former vicar Alf Kapstad.

Gallery Osebro is a private gallery in Porsgrunn. They change exhibitions once a month. Separate- and collective exhibitions med living norwegian artists. Selling goods on consignment with more tan 150 artists are represented within paitings, glass, ceramics, jewels and textil.

Brevik municipal museum The little town of Brevik has one of Norways best preserved wooden architecture from the 17. century and is a most romantic place to visit. The municipal museum in situated in the Town Hall from anno 1760. It includes a vey well stocked grocery store, an old post office, chemist's shop, photostudy and a collection of artifacts from the II world war. Guided foot tours through the town and to nearby isles by boat can be arranged.

The centre has created a link between the area's rich maritime history and future-oriented education as well as industrial development. The spectacular building houses exhibitions and installations. The objective is to stimulate interest in maritime history, science and technology through interactive communication methods - especially for children and young people. Consequently, learning through playing and experimenting is essential when visiting DuVerden. The centre has its own amphitheatre, which seats fifty people, and is used for 3D films. The weather turntable illustrates weather in a new way. Spin it as hard as you can, and a fan will produce a storm strength wind. We also have a big toy for the big boys: Our ship bridge simulator lets you control a ship and you can navigate up the river to Skien or out on to the fiord. Welcome to a great experience!

The Bratsberg Railway runs between Porsgrunn and Notodden in Telemark. The train corresponds with the Sørland Railway and the Vestfold Railway, and has frequent departures all day.
