Iglesia de Santa Maria

Reviewed By WendyTravels142 - Lichfield, United Kingdom

I'm no expert on architecture, but I do work with energies. This place in amazing! Most religious buildings are put on top of an energy line, or something similar. This church straddles a huge energy line, the kind that some people call an 'earth dragon line'. I knew about this line before I went into the church, so imagine my surprise when I looked up and saw two metal dragons on either side, above the altar! The altar, and the dragons, and the ancient wooden beam above, are all directly running through the energy line. Everything is symmetrical, the people have painted a sun and moon, and stars, across the beam. They are balancing the male and female energy aspects. This church holds so many secrets... I live nearby so I hope to find them out over the years :o) There are many places in the town, named after the dragon line, El drac. There is little Christian imagery to be found on the beautiful carvings, inside and out. They are from another type of mythology.
