She is part of the first generation of Costa Rican profesional surfers and the first Costa Rican to be featured on the cover of an international surf magazine (Surf Life for Women). Brooks got her degree in Ecological Tourism at the University of Costa Rica while starting her beloved yoga journey in 2002.
