"Playa Blanca" means "white beach," and indeed, travelers flock here to swim and sunbathe. Huge yachts bob up and down at the marina, where you'll also find many shops and restaurants and a lively market. TripAdvisor travelers say Montana Roja is not "particularly strenuous" and offers amazing views from the top.

Barney's bistro & live music bar. Kitchen open every day from 9.00Am to 5.00Pm, and deli style sandwich bar open from 9.00Am till 2.00Am. Live music every night from 9.30Pm till late. Welcome!
We have been to Puerto del Carmen for 20 years for music and our first trip to Playa Blanca. Thankfully Barneys stepped up to the mark to give some excellent nights. Barney appears with guests most nights and each brings some thing different and all excellent musicians, so seems like a new act each evening. Best was the girl who played guitar and sang, who was amazing, not sure of her name. One Saturday night Barney wasn't on and the guy playing was very average playing to backing tapes, but when Barney is on the music is good. Drinks very cheap at 3 euro a pint and baileys about 5e. Best music bar in PB by a long way.

Fantastic chill-out bar in the heart of Faro Park. Ice-cold beer served in frozen glasses. A great selection of classic and modern cocktails, wines and speciality gins. For that after dinner luxury, why not try our famous dessert cocktails! As well as great coffee and a selection of hot beverages, our range of alcoholic coffees and hot chocolates are something special!! We also have a great selection of alcohol free beverages.Pop in and relax and listen to our great music in our chilled out enviroment. See you soon.
Lovely little bar with a good cocktail menu. Would definitely recommend the snickers and sticky toffee pudding cocktails.

This is a very modern Marina but it is very well laid out and well designed so it has a good deal of charm about it. Pleny and varied dining options, a little more upmarket than most other places in Playa Blanca. it has a nice arts and craft market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings

Montaña Roja was our favourite spot in our trip to Lanzarote. At the feet of our hotel, we climbed twice, both for sunrise and sunset, both worth the climb. It's an easy climb, everybody with a minimal effort can do it and it takes less than 30 minutes if you are a bit fit. You can park the car close to Montaña Baja and then find the trail at the feet of the mountain and start your way up. From up there you have amazing views of Playa Blanca and Fuerteventura just in front of you and also Papagayo Bay with its beautiful beaches. The crater is easily reachable and you can walk around it or go to the middle as well. Awesome for a quiet spot to see the beautiful sunrise or the amazing sunset. Its pretty windy up there, so bring a jacket if you plan to stay a bit longer. Totally worth the climb and the best part is that is for free and Mother Nature really rewards your efforts with tremendous views of the landscapes around the island! If you have an hour to spear, just go and enjoy!

Sport by day and karaoke by night. We're a small friendly bar on the busy CC Papagayo strip a few steps from the beach, with live sports on nine screens every day and karaoke from 10pm Tuesday through Saturday. All nationalities welcome.

Probably the only place in Playa Blanca that the British would recognise as a local bar. Been here many times and repeat visitors to the resort often come in here. Friendly, unpretentious, great view and lovely staff.. Many thanks to Sue, Linda, Janine, Yvonne. Joyce, Sarah for your continual welcome. Hasta la proxima . Geoff. and Christine. Xx

The Irish Anvil Bar is the premier Bar in Playa Blanca. Been coming here for many years and never disappointed. Food always great and the Anvil breakfast is fab. Coffee also very good. The staff are always very friendly. It is one of our go to places, even when staying elsewhere on the island. We will return!

Two man-made water breaks provide for a very calm and sheltered bay which make this beach very suitable for children. So suitable in fact that the resort directly behind the beach is the TUI Family Life Resort. As you can guess the beach is packed with families and children. If you are ok with this then you will have a great time. There are a good range of restaurants and cafes directly behind the beach on the Paseo Maritima which caters for everyones refreshment requirements. The promenade (Paseo Maritima) that backs onto the beach is very uneven and is in dire need of resurfacing. We saw a number of families with buggies having difficulty in manoevering across said surface.
