What to do and see in Plaça Catalunya, Catalonia: The Best Gift & Specialty Shops

December 27, 2021 Frederic Celentano

Barcelona feels a bit surreal – appropriate, since Salvador Dali spent time here and Spanish Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí designed several of the city’s buildings. Stepping into Gaudí’s Church of the Sacred Family is a bit like falling through the looking glass - a journey that you can continue with a visit to Park Güell. Sip sangria at a sidewalk café in Las Ramblas while watching flamboyant street performers, then create your own moveable feast by floating from tapas bar to tapas bar.

Solsona Pell

Reviewed By dthumphrey2019 - Barcelona, Spain

While in Barcelona on vacation, I hoped to find a Spanish leather coat. I had a tremendous experience at Solsona, and ended up buying two beautiful jackets at a price less than I expected to pay for one. Both coats were custom made for me in one day -- and they are absolutely perfect in every detail. The shop has been owned by the same family for three generations, and they make a wide range of men's and women's leather coats in a small shop right above their storefront. I met Sr. Solsona himself, his shop manager Nuri, and the woman who actually took my measurements and sewed my jackets, and they could not have been more pleasant or more professional. I manage a large service business in the U.S. myself, and I can only hope that my staff comes close to Solsona's level of professionalism. I could not recommend them more highly.
