Pittsburgh has been remade and reimagined. Think 24 miles of riverfront trails, beautiful parks and historic attractions. Home to 90 neighborhoods, the ‘Burgh feels authentic and unpretentious. No visit is complete without a trip to the Strip District or PNC Park, a ride up the Duquesne Incline or a stop at The Andy Warhol Museum. Architecture buffs love Pittsburgh for the amazing downtown buildings. Hollywood producers, do, too—the city has even been called the “Hollywood of the East."

Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the place of Andy Warhol’s birth, The Andy Warhol Museum holds the largest collection of Warhol’s artworks and archival materials. We are one of the most comprehensive single-artist museums in the world and the largest in North America.
The Andy Warhol Museum is able to give the casual visitor with limited knowledge of Andy Warhol's life and art a good insight into his artistic development and how his early life in Pittsburgh influenced him.

Great collection - well explained - friendly and informed staff all combine to make this a memorable visit. The Raymond Simboli painting, 'Allegheny-Ludlum Steel Mill" was a particular highlight

The Mattress Factory is a museum and experimental lab for living artists. Located in Pittsburgh's historic Northside, just minutes from Downtown Pittsburgh, we host artists from around the world and around the corner as they create site-specific installation art. Provocative and immersive, the Mattress Factory is home to art you can get into. In addition to revolving installations created by artists-in-residence, you can explore permanent installations by Greer Lankton, James Turrell, Winifred Lutz, Yayoi Kusama and more.
If you like art museums that are different and have a funky alternative vibe, this place is for you. Their modern art exhibits are usually thought-provoking and original. If you are familiar with Yayoi Kusama and her infinity rooms, there are two of them at this venue. (But the first room is just a small space.) Kusama's room with fabulous red and white polka-dotted mannequins and mirrors invite photos. You will have fun taking pictures in this room! If you are an out-of-towner visiting for the first time, I suggest taking a Lyft or Uber to get there. It's a bit off the beaten path. If youl feel like seeing more modern art after visiting The Warhol, it is not far from there on the North Side.
