We took the Sunset ride which was a beautiful and easy ride. Our teenage daughter absolutely loved her first horseback ride! Our wrangler, Andy, was great- friendly and informative, as were the rest of the staff. We will definitely return if we’re back in this neck of the woods someday.

A nice lake surrounded by tall Ponderosa pines and meadow. Facilities consist of ball fields, children’s playground, tennis court – not in the best of shape, 1.25 mile paved walking trail, other dirt trails, picnic shelters, bathrooms, dock and boat ramp.
I walk around the lake a couple times a week. Last week there was a beautiful bald eagle in a snag. I told everyone I saw about it and they went to look. The hiking trail around the lake could use some work, but it's ok. There were LOTS of ducks and geese in the lake, which was clear of ice. (We had snow again last night though....so it could be icey now.). There are benches around the lake to sit and observe.

I've played Pinetop Lakes Golf Course several times. The staff is well-rounded and pleasant, as is the pro shop. The Executive course is always in nice, playable condition. It also proves to be challenging, as well as rewarding. As a result, I always look forward to playing there, knowing the conditions will be fine, and the cost acceptable.

My wife went on the two hour ride. It was just her and the guide. They rode the trails in the National Forest near Pinetop-Lakeside. She says the guide was friendly and informative. The day before the ride, she talked with Rachel(the owner) and was happy with her. This stable is highly recommended.
