Swimming lake and much more.Hike to the top of Pinnacle Mountain, just have a picnic, rent the Pavilion, camping, and more. A great place among the mountains and starts. A great place to visit in this area. Enjoy the outdoor.

Several new buildings have been added, including the building over the main petroglyphs on the site with the light show to bring them out. The 3rd Saturday of each month brings special programs to the Mill as well as demonstrators of several skills from the past. My favorites: the potter, the quilters and weavers and the moonshine still! There is also a nice trail to enjoy and picnic space.

Bee Well Honey Farm & Market is a unique retail establishment located in Pickens SC near the "Doodle Trail" bike path. Inside you will find natural foods including: raw milk, free range eggs, natural vitamins & supplements and a large selections of pure raw honey. We also carry a full line of bee supplies (year round) and offer packages of bees for sale each Spring.
In addition to the wonderful selection of local honey, Bee Well has a large inventory of natural and healthy foods and supplies. They carry some hard[to-find brands and items. The people are friendly and helpful and always make us feel welcome. Now they have coffee so who could complain???

We moved to Seneca from the northern suburbs of Atlanta, where we were blessed with many great multi-use trails. We have found it hard to locate good biking trails in the upstate, and we are not fans of riding on roads since we know someone who was killed riding in a group on country roads in Atlanta.
The Doodle trail was recommended by many folks, so we gave it a shot. Overall, the trail is very nice. Well maintained and nicely paved. Signage is lacking somewhat in terms of the trailheads, but as long as you know where your are going, it's no worry.
It is fairly hilly in places, which as always, is both good and bad!!
Lots of the trail near Easley is among back lots of some rundown homes, abandoned businesses, etc., but it never seems dangerous or anything. All in all, we'll be back.

The food was good. The price has gone up from $10 to $12, but that includes a meat and three vegetables. Dessert and drink are included. Freshly prepared - nothing out of a can. Pretty views from the church yard. They are only open on the third Saturday of each month (not in December).

This is one of the best presentations of petroglyphs I have ever seen. Indoors for the preservation of the carvings. Great audio presentation and way above average presentation of the petroglyphs. And, while you are there, you can visit the entire mill site and homes. Definitely worth you time. Only open a few days of the week so go to visitpickensco.com for the latest schedule.

The Bargain Exchange Flea Market is a real life treasure hunt! It is the areas largest yard sale. Wander through the many different vendors both under sheds and outside in a hunt for that special item.
We loved this flea market! It was huge! People were nice, prices reasonable & lots of different stuff to look at.

This was a beautiful little roadside park that could be enjoyed by anyone. We stayed for an hour or so and upon returning to our car, found that someone had smashed our rear passenger door window on the driver's side. This did not appear to be the first incident at that park as the car that had been beside us was gone and we saw alot of debree where it had been. Nice place, but someone should do something about vandalism. The $300 replacement cost was not what I would consider a nice souvenir. Such a shame. If you decide to go, try parking on the lower lot. This might deter such an incident.
I've edited this and bumped up the rating because I reported the issue through the county website and heard back from the county and the park rangers office in a very timely manner.

To access this overlook takes approximately 9 miles of dirt road driving from any direction. The off road drive itself is a worthwhile trip into very scenic wilderness. Plan on an hour of driving once you get off the pavement. Take a picnic and make a day of it. This is by far the most breath taking view of Lake Jocassee, and rates as one of, if not the most beautiful view in SC in my book. Pictures do not do it justice...

Loved this place I really liked the atmosphere here. The staff here are very friendly and the food is really good. If you don't mind climbing a few steps to get there this is good meeting place to go.
