What to do and see in Pichincha Province, Ecuador: The Best Shopping

This is a permanent exhibit of many phases of my art work in 7 rooms in a 175 year old restored house in the historic center of Quito, Ecuador. The art work is oneiric and hyperreal, in oil, drawing, and assemblage. I also take visitors through the house and patios to have a birds-eye view of what a typical colonial Quitenio house is like and to talk about restoration. Appointment only.

Casa Mitomana - Invernadero Cultural (Cultural Greenhouse) is a space dedicated to the incubation, development and exhibition of artistic projects of a wide disciplinary variety: performing arts, photography, concerts, workshops ... The space also has a coworking area, an arts library (new and second-hand books), a photography lab, a freelance creators’ collective store and a cafeteria-restaurant (lunches, snacks, coffee, wine...).

+ ARTE gallery is a space for the exhibition, promotion and marketing of art in the city of Quito-Ecuador. It was born due to the need for an exhibition space for emerging local artists. At present, it specializes in exhibiting contemporary and current works from Ecuador. It seeks to promote the career of emerging artists, internationalize the work of artists with experience and encourage the local art scene. A specific type of art is not shown; on the contrary, diversity and interdisciplinity are sought. Parallel to the exhibitions, conversations and activities are carried out that enrich the public's experience. In addition, it works on the promotion of artists in unconventional spaces outside the gallery and supports the artistic scene within Ecuador. On the other hand, seeks to work in collaboration with different entities of the medium to increase the possibility of work within art in Ecuador.

Mindo Carpentry is a family-run sustainable woodshop. Using locally-sourced wood, they make beautiful items which make the perfect present or souvenir from your trip to Mindo.
