We took the Cable Car (Tarabita) over and back and hiked the trail down to the "Large" waterfall. Limited tourists now so no lines and only a couple other people. Trail maintenance and steps are in disrepair, 20 mins down, 30 mins up. The Large waterfall is just a small 12-15 ft cascade over a few rocks and the forest is not really very impressive. We hike regularly in Hawaii where we live and those hike are much more scenic in terms of lush greenery, flowers, birds and real waterfalls. Maybe something to do if you are in the area but definitely not as a daytrip from Quito.

We spent a great day with Elvis Edwardo visiting 4 sites on the equator and the Pululahua crater. All these sites are north of Quito but are usually not all available together in one private/semi-private tour. The most unique venue was Cateqilla-an indigenous equatorial holy site. Elvis was eager to share is love and knowledge of the various cultures found in Ecuador as well as the standard tourist information regarding the "Middle of the World" sites.

Get to know a wonderful place full of magical and colorful landscape discover the Quilotoa lagoon 138 kilometers from the city of Quito, we pass by your hotel or accommodation and we go to this beautiful place that is a volcanic crater known as the caldera, where at arrive we descend for half an hour on a spectacular hike to this lagoon, on the way we can observe deer, rabbits, foxes, wolves among other animals that inhabit this place, back arriving again to the high part where we can get the best photographs, We return to the city of Quito.
