Budget-minded travelers will appreciate Phnom Penh's reasonably priced hotel rooms (several top-rated hotels on TripAdvisor offer rooms around $40/night). Explore the city's temples, palaces, and the remnants of its French colonial history. Just outside the city, the The Killing Fields (Choeung Ek) are a reminder of Cambodia's tragic past-- a somber contrast to the booming city of today.

Brand new gay-friendly bijou music bar in a great location near the Riverside. One of the most stylish bars in Phnom Penh, with entertainment shows every Friday and Saturday, featuring local singers, fit young men and ladyboy dancers. The beer is cheap (Tiger draft only $1.50 for 2 glasses) and there's a good range of cocktails. The L Bar is the 1st lesbian bar in Cambodia. Our goal is to create a place where locals and expats have the chance to be who they are in a safe environment. We went there on a wednesday under the impresion we would see a drag show. However as we arrived and saw the bar with few people we knew something was wrong. The shows start on thursday all through the weekend. However this did not make our experience any different. As we were greeted by the owner with a big smile, we went in the bar and a friendly bartender offered us drinks and peanuts. It was actually refreshing to be able to sit at a bar and talk for a bit while having drinks and we even could play the music we wanted. We went back the night after to see this so talked about show. We got there early as we were advised by the bartender the night before. Around 9:30pm crowds of both tourists and locals began arriving to get a spot for the show. Around 11pm the bar was packed, not a soul more. The ladyboys went on stage and the crowd went crazy for their performances. Definitely a place to visit, if not for the show, for a safe relax place for the community to drink and chat.

Our drink list includes all kind of mixed drinks, a wide variety of Belgian and German beers, wines and the most elaborated cocktails, always using premium alcohols and fresh fruit juices. Our playlists include R&B hits, songs from the 80's and the last bites from overseas dj's. We have free Wi-Fi and a projector showing the videos of the music played. Open everyday from 12pm until late. We focus our efforts on providing high quality service, trying to create a unique atmosphere to make our visitors feel happy and comfortable. We donate every month 5% of our profits to French NGO PSE, to provide food, shelter, medical care, education and vocational training to destitute, abused and uneducated children.
Certainly one of the friendliest bar in Phnom Penh. the owners are there, take care and entertain together with their hosts. Offer is good and special cocktail promos are available. Oh, and if you need a haircut, you can do it right there with your Martini in your hand. One point I suggest to look into is to fix the toilets; but that is the only thing ;-) . The smiling and joking staff are the key of this brand to make a night unforgettable! A night to start, or a night to end, its always busy! - Back soon!
