Phang Nga Elephant Park

The Phang Nga Elephant Park is a small family-run park. Our family has cared for elephants for over 150 years and we opened the park in 2015 so that we could keep our elephants in a caring and stress-free environment and give our visitors an extraordinary and life-enhancing experience. We are dedicated to providing our elephants with the highest quality of life possible and our strong belief in human-elephant interaction is what makes the Phang Nga Elephant Park so special.

This was a truly magical experience. Jake is very caring and shows dedication and compassion with maintaining an ethical elephant sanctuary, that has been with their family for over 150 years. All the staff were very attentive, and Jake had a lot of patience with the hundreds of questions our kids asked, taking the time to answer each one. Being able to experience elephants so close was an absolute highlight of our Thailand holiday. Also great lunch in a fantastic location. Would love to return one day, many thanks to Jake and the team.

Samet Nangshe Viewpoint

Reviewed By panitchayap - Bangkok, Thailand

Samet Nangshe Viewpoint is one of the most popular viewpoints in Phang Nga, which is a province in the South of Thailand, nowadays. The viewpoint located at the top of the hill. You can reach there by feet or serviced taxis; however, since I have been there twice using both means, I do suggest you choose the serviced taxis. The serviced taxis cost 30 Baht per person for a round-trip ticket. However, if you really enjoy watching the plants and the animals along the way up there, you can try walking. Please bear in mind that the hill was quite steep, you need to be very careful. The view up there was stunning; especially at the sunrise and the sunset. At the viewpoint, you can see many mountains, the sea, the rivers, and even some small islands in the sea in the panorama view. The place was quite crowded, but it was worth to go and see the view once. Although you are not a good photographer, I am pretty sure that you can take a beautiful photo there.

Phang Nga Bay.

Phang Nga is famous for spectacular scenery with limestone cliffs rising out of green water. There are caves, lagoons and tiny secluded beaches awaiting discovery.

Phanga Nga Bay is a visual treat for all your senses. A boat trip through the waters to various islands in this Bay is a must do activity. I did a big-boat tour through BJ Canoe agency and they take you to various islands like James Bond island, Hong Island, Panak island etc. Kayaking through the shallow waters of this bay is an memorable experience. Though it's a typical touristy route, it's still a great experience to witness the islands and the magnificent limestone rocks emerging out of the sea.

LOVED Koh Kho Khao Island - quiet, relaxing - good swimming beaches - I stayed at DreamZ Ocean Pearl Resort - it has recently re-opened (December 2018) and I got a great deal. So good to get our of the madness of Patong and just chill out - I did nothing, other than swim and sunbake - exactly what I was looking for. Mama's restaurant, up the beach from the resort is definately worth walking along the beach to - beautiful family and great food - Pirates Bar, at Dreamz Ocean Pearl resort is excellent - brilliant staff, great nightly BBQ and the owner Ko, is very entertaining. Definately will be visiting again:)

Even in July - which can probably be classed as wet season, the beach was fantastic. The beach was incredibly clean and peaceful. Definitely worth a visit - we stayed at Mai Resort - which provided walking access to the beach.

Khlong Jark Beach

Reviewed By melbournemeals

We had a great swim at this beach today. Its quiet and rustic was a lovely soft sandy bottom. The water was crystal clear with warm currents. There was lots of places with out rock so our two kids loved it. Also no jellyfish were spotted. A beautiful beach.
