Spectacular limestone islands are scattered throughout Phang Nga Bay, a short boat ride from Phuket. Koh Ping-gan, also known as James Bond Island, is one of the most striking islands and features a dramatic rock pinnacle piercing the water. On nearby Ko Pannyi Island (Sea Gypsy Island), there's a village built on stilts, perched over the water with a dramatic monolith hovering behind.

The Phang Nga Elephant Park is a small family-run park. Our family has cared for elephants for over 150 years and we opened the park in 2015 so that we could keep our elephants in a caring and stress-free environment and give our visitors an extraordinary and life-enhancing experience. We are dedicated to providing our elephants with the highest quality of life possible and our strong belief in human-elephant interaction is what makes the Phang Nga Elephant Park so special.
This was a truly magical experience. Jake is very caring and shows dedication and compassion with maintaining an ethical elephant sanctuary, that has been with their family for over 150 years. All the staff were very attentive, and Jake had a lot of patience with the hundreds of questions our kids asked, taking the time to answer each one. Being able to experience elephants so close was an absolute highlight of our Thailand holiday. Also great lunch in a fantastic location. Would love to return one day, many thanks to Jake and the team.

Sa Nang Manora (Sra Nang Manora) is a forest park in Khao Thoi-Nang Hong Forest, about 4 km north of Phang Nga town. It was established on 1980. The park is mostly plain with few hills and the Sa Nang Manora waterfall. In my way to Phang Nga , I had a stop in Sa Nang Manora Forest Park to check out the park and its natural trail. But I only wanted to have a short visit. So I parked the car and I went to the park's entrance and I stated to search. There were some ponds and little pools for swimming or bathing and some families had come for picnic. There was a pleasant atmosphere there and it was convenient for families. I was walking around when I accidentally found myself in the beginning of the trail. I found it very interesting and somehow mysterious. I asked a tourist about the trail and he told me that "until the second station, it's easy and after that it becomes harder". The statement motivated me to continue the trail, after a while I arrived to the first station "Palm" and after that I got to the second station which was "Water Cave" and I stayed there 2 minutes. The next 8 stations were: Limestone(3), Giant tree(4), Poisonous(5), Shell Cave(6), Fishes Cave(7), Ginger Plant(8), Rock Forest(9) and the Bat Cave(10). The trail was 2 Kilometers long and it took me about 45 minutes to get to the final station. It was not a hard trail and not that easy, it's better to wear suitable shoes for walking. It was really a unique experience and I walked and jumped over sand, grass, mud, marshy ground, water, tree's branch, stones and rocks to get to the destination. The trail was very quiet and I saw only 4 people during my hike. At the finishing point I found a danger sign which banned me for going further it was written: "Should go back the same route". I found also an amazing cave there. Inside the cave was almost dark and it gave me a winner's feeling and it gave me a lot of energy for the return. On my way back, I saw no one and I passed the trail very quickly and I got to the starting point in less than 30 minutes, it was a perfect hike and I like to repeat the adventurous tropical hike one more time.

This park is very nice. In daytime you will feel the peace of the area. There are monkeys around the mountain and the small pond. There are at least three ways to walk or drive through thw mountain which is funny to do. A quiet and nice walk around the lake takes 10 minutes (800 meter) There are walk ways and bicylce lanes. Around 5 o'clock, the park will change in a playground for locals (families with a lot of children playing at the playground), group of people are doing arobics at the platform at the putdoorstadium, locals cycle and walk around the lake. This parc is worth the visit: -if you like a developed natural surrounding (they decorated the area without spoiling the area) -if you like to cycle or walk around with locals.. -if you like caves and monkeys. Easy to spend an hour, but also can be visited for a short look around. Excess from road Phuket-Krabi + Road 4, in Phangnga. It is free to go in. Open until 19.00

Had group of ten ranging in age from 7 to 73. Outstanding day trip. Well organized and great safe adventure. Youngest one a little scared at first. One hour very easy walk sometimes in water below the knee. Easy but added to the adventure. Added advantage that nice and cool in the cave so a great trip to do at midday. Not recommended if claustrophobic.
