The remnants of Fort Mulligan, overlooking Grant Memorial Hospital and the Fort Hill Motel is truly a hidden treasure. There are remnants of the earthen walls, and historic markers telling quite a story, along with journal entries of one of the soldiers stationed there. There is a trail around the perimeter, and also criss-crossing the fort. I love to walk there when I stay at the Fort Hill Motel.
My name is Eli Whetzel. I was born and raised in Cabins, WV along the North Fork of the South Branch River. I have always been passionate about trout fishing! I enjoy teaching others how to become better fishermen both mentally and physically.
