I've been out to "Harold Town" as we call it here, several times over the years. There are a number of trails of varying difficulty and lengths at this former ski hill. There is a steep hike (the old ski hill itself) and there are gradual inclines and flat walks too. PArking is rather limited but I have always found a spot to park. Currently (November 2018) the road to Harold Town is closed due to repairs to a bridge on Old Norwood Rd. There is a detour, not too long. People will bike and run on the trails all the time and people with dogs. It's 5-10 mins from Ptbo - well worth it.

Renting pontoon boats, jet ski's, fishing boats in Bobcaygeon for 25+ years. SUP's, Kayaks, watersports gear also available. Take them from our docks in downtown Bobcaygeon (Pigeon Lake) or have us deliver to your location. We serve the Kawartha's, Haliburton, Bancroft, Peterborough areas.
A group of friends and I rented 2 of the deluxe model waverunners on the May long weekend and I would definitely do it again. We had a cottage rented on Sturgeon Lake near Fenelon and we found Buckeye Rentals online and decided to try them out. The staff were friendly and they delivered the seadoos right on time. The machines were in good shape and performed better than we expected, did some wake boarding and tubing as well! I would definitely recommend Buckeye Rentals to anyone looking to do the same thing, great addition to the cottage rental for the weekend!

Indian River Reptile Zoo is unique in Canada and is one of the most modern and exciting specialized animal centers in the world! Here you can see snakes, lizards, monitors, alligators, turtles, crocodiles, and even special guest animals such as monkeys and more! The animals are housed in state of the art, climate controlled facilities which were specifically designed to house reptiles.we were first and only reptile zoo to be accredited by the Canadian Association of Zoos & Aquariums (CAZA) and have remained accredited since that time. We are a non-profit charity.
We were impressed with the quality and quantity of the dinosaur exhibits, particularly the action ones. The drive-thru takes about 25 minutes and is good value for money. The young kids and grandkids will love it!

55-acre zoo with mini-train rides, an F-86 Sabre Jet, a kid's water play park, many animals, and free admission and parking.
We live in the area, we brought our kids here regularly to walk the park, see the animals and for the kids to play. Awesome open atmosphere, friendly for people with wheel chairs, and lots of kids !! Huge picnic area below with close parking for mobility-restricted visitors
