At the Penticton Farmers' Market you can find farm fresh veggies and fruits, eggs, honey, baking, preserves and handmade crafts - all grown or produced in the South Okanagan. PFM vendors proudly make, bake or grow everything they sell. The market also hosts a selection of local liquor vendors each week.
This Saturday morning market is a "must" when visiting Penticton or the surrounding area. It gets VERY crowded so I would recommend going as early as you can. You can find free parking closely. The market is made up of a "farm and artisan" side and a sort of "retail" side with a few artisan foods mixed in. It is an amazing showcase of what the farms and businesses in the area have to offer and so much of it is great. From wickedly delicious breads, beautiful fruits and vegetables, and beautiful baked items, your basket will be filled within minutes. It would be a true shame to be in this area and not take in this market.

An absolute MUST go for Book Lovers of all ages. Easily spent over an hour in here and would’ve spent many more had it not been for impatient kids. Loved all the unique and quirky corners and surprise finds. Left will nearly a dozen books (only because I couldn’t carry anymore)... I’ll be back.

People come from many places to enjoy this beautiful park, beach and amenities. I'm fortunate to live here and be within walking distance of the beach. My friends and I have a picnic at Skaha Park every week during the summer. It is beautiful, refreshing and relaxing. Pay it a visit and enjoy the huge beach, beautiful lake set in a picturesque area.

My spouse and I travel quite a bit to rock climb. If we're in a new place, we like to hire a guide to show us around to the best spots so that we can save time and learn new skills. In this case, we were so happy we did. Lyle was the best guide we've ever had and we've had lots! He was incredibly knowledgeable about each route we did and was very in tune with what me and my partner were looking for in terms of our skill level. We had him with us for two separate days. Throughout that time, he gave us an interesting run down of the area, the history, and the flora/fauna. He had great stories about certain climbs in the bluffs that you would never get out of a guide book. He even spent extra time with us on our last day as we weren't quite ready to quit and he thought we should try another route that he thought we would enjoy. All in all, I feel like I walked away with lots of new skills and more confidence in my overall ability. In terms of the booking process, it was great. There was a fire in the summer that had closed the bluffs. Russ was excellent at communicating with us about the closure, about refunds if the bluffs did not reopen, and then again about the bluffs re-opening so that we could go on our planned trips. Skaha Rock Adventures certainly went beyond my expectations to create a very memorable trip.

My sister, her daughter and I visited this resort located approximately 35 minutes from Penticton. After parking in a lot within walking distance of the Village, we set out to explore the area. We passed a skating loop and watched people enjoying the ice. We also passed by condos, lodges and cabins as we made our way to the shops and restaurants. Visitors were masked and maintained social distancing. We learned that other winter activities including snowmobile tours, hockey and snowshoeing were available. We watched skiers being pulled up the mountain by a t-bar. We studied a large map of the surroundings showing the 67 ski runs as well as the various ways to access the elevations. As we explored the Village, I was interested in the “hitching post” type of holders for skiers and snowboarders to place their equipment when they wanted to enter a shop or restaurant. Several carved, wooden totems appeared to stand on guard near a picture-taking venue.

We were with teenagers and young children. Everyone had a blast on the Ko Carts and lots of fun on the mini golf course. The younger ones loved the bumper boats and trampoline. A great little park for the family to get a break from the beach. Prices are very reasonable and some great family pictures for memories to last a lifetime. Recommend you visit when in Penticton.

The SS Sicamous is the largest surviving paddle wheeler in Canada. It is open as a heritage site, museum and wedding venue. Launched in 1914, the ship provided a vital means of transport to remote communities on the shores of Okanagan Lake. The SS Sicamous is operated by the SS Sicamous Society: a non-profit organization that works to protect the marine heritage of the Okanagan.Funds from your admission go directly to the restoration of the SS Sicamous, and the other heritage ships in our care.
Nice way to spend an afternoon on the lake thinking back in time how the Sicamous use to transport cargo and people hundreds of years ago, and if you are thinking of getting married, what a beautiful ship to have it on, it has a working kitchen, and great scenery for pictures.

My brother and I went parasailing in Penticton. We had a great time! The two young guys we had driving the boat and helping with gear were professional, so friendly and very relaxed. They let our family members ride in the boat and made it an activity to remember! Would recommend.
