Pays de la Loire (French pronunciation: [pe.i də la lwaʁ]; Breton: Broioù al Liger, meaning Loire Country) is one of the 18 regions of France. It is one of the regions created in the 1950s to serve as a zone of influence for its capital, Nantes, one of a handful so-called "balancing metropolises" (métropoles d'équilibre)¹.

Saumur Horsetrials welcomes a CCI*, CIC** and a CCI*** from 24th to 27th May 2018, on Verrie racecourse, with all the olympic champions coming back from Rio. Families and groups can come and spend the all day in Verrie racecourse which is more a forest than a racecourse. Have lunch, do some shopping, buy some souvenirs and bring back French gastronomy home is at hand in our exhibitors village. You can have a walk (5km long) and admire the monumental sculptures settled inside the landscape, specially created for the event. If you want you can follow a guide as he/she can explain to you the competition, the artistic side of the event, and talk to you about fauna and flora. On saturday night, you can lie down under the trees listening to music bands performing in live, and have a glass of French wine while tasting French gastronomy. There is no entry fee because pleasure has to be free sometimes!

The only regret is that there is not more meetings taking place at the Pornichet Hippodrome. Place is nice, it hosts also evening events, that are the best time of the day with fresh air and a nice breeze to enjoy the show after spending the day on the beach or on the water. Here are some major races from time to time.
