We went on a Friday night....we were finishing up our RI Beer Passports. After a stop at another brewery and only one more stamp to get we decided to hightail it here and complete our RI beer experience. Well this place was jamming with people, buying presents and beer to hold them over. The staff here is what makes it fantastic. We went for a tasting which the beers were out of this world good. They took the time to stamp us and give us our victory beers. Truly a great experience. We will be back but maybe at a less busier night. This is a must in the Bucket!

Smug features a variety of beers, IPA, double IPA!, a great raspberry sour, and more. It's an on-site brewery/pub, so your beer will never be fresher. Comfortable seating, fun and games, and visiting food trucks make Smug a great spot to enjoy a brew or two.

A new distillery in Pawtucket, RI, opened March 2019. Rhode Island Spirits features locally grown and foraged botanicals from the Blackstone Valley combined with organic spirits, crafting a range of gins, vodkas, and liqueurs that could come from nowhere else. Our tasting room and bar offer tours and tastings, seasonal cocktails, and river views, plus a new riverside garden space.

A popular baseball field (home of the Pawtucket Red Sox) for minor-league games that draws a huge crowd.
Traveled to Pawtucket to see the Sox play. Despite a 6-3 loss to Syracuse, I had a great time. The stadium is a quaint park, rich with history. The memories are posted around the entire park. Not a bad seat in the house, reasonably priced and ample parking! The people there are very friendly, the staff in the Pro shop are very accommodating. Was great seeing a game in the park that was host to the longest professional game ever played, 33 innings. Stop by the Right Place, just up from the stadium for a great pre-game meal and interesting chat about the Sox (Paw or Bo) the Patriots, Celtics or Bruins!

A National Historic Landmark, the Slater Mill is a living history museum and educational center.
We stopped at Slater Mill to check out the southern end of the Blackstone River Valley National Historic Park. We started at the Slater Mill visitor center, but the docent there suggested we start at another visitor center across the street from the mill complex. We started there, looking at their posters and timeline. Then we watched a short video which provided another level of information specific to the mills that were built along the river. We returned to Slater Mill and the docent, Dee, took us on an excellent tour of the 3 historic buildings in the mill area: the Sylvanus Brown House, the Wilkinson Mill and the Slater Mill. There is a lot to see and learn here, so allow plenty of time and ask lots of questions!
