It's hard to believe, but Trin Warren Tam-boore is a waterhole almost in the City of Melbourne. The name was bestowed by the Wurundjeri people, the Aboriginal first inhabitants of this part of Victoria. The English translation, which also in common use, is Bellbird Waterhole. It's a marvelous place to wander around. You may see varerious types of waterfowl during the day, and possums, snakes and native water rats around evening. The waterhole is a welcome refuge for aquatic animals. Accessing the waterhole is easy -- you can drive, or walk from the tram stop near Church St, it's about a 10 minute walk.

With the park closed for organised sport, the birds have taken over the ovals and walkers, joggers, and cyclists are using the many paths through it. Today in the North east of the park I saw Red Rumped Parrots on the lawns and the Woody Garden has some mid Winter flowers out.
