The beach is nice soft and sandy. The river is fun and can get quite deep. The kids love jumping from the rock ledges and if you are really brave you can try the rope swing into the river!!!

Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park

The tide goes out on this beach to stretch for what feels like miles! There are many pouches of water to entertain little people who are learning about the creatures of our marine life, with micro-crabs and sea life. Perfect sand dollars can be found if you walk a little further out. The sand is wet though, we struggled to find a patch that wasn’t, so if you’re looking for sandy beaches to sun bathe, might not be the place (or could just be our experience?) In either case, we were very happy with our experience!

What an excellent experience. One I will surely never forget. Myself and my mom enjoyed the spring midweek special offered at the spa which includes a dip in the grotto mineral pool and hot tub, a choice of seasonal spa services of which we both chose a massage as well as endless tapas at the grotto restaurant. The mineral spa is incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. It was everything I needed and wanted for relaxation and highly recommend experiencing it! My massage was unreal. One of the best massages of my life for side. Very relaxing. They used an apricot massage oil as well as your choice of lavender or eucalyptus oil applied to a towel for aroma therapy. In addition to this they sprayed a lavender facial oil mist multiple times during the massage which made my face SO SOFT. Loved every minute. The tapas was insanely good. The food is seasonal and locally sourced mostly. There were 18 courses of food and we left extremely full but soooooo content. The spa provides both a robe as well as sandals to wear. They also provide a full range of hair and body wash to clean up after the services. They also provide hairspray, mousse or gel as well as spray deodorant, q-tips and a blow dryer and straightener for use after your shower. Highly recommend this package and for the price you absolutely cannot do better than this world class spa. Go. Don’t hesitate. Just go.
