Lovely desert gardens, fabulous model train display (huge), lots of interesting animal chats, free tram around the park, and wide selection of animals in large natural enclosures. I could happily spend several days there. Lots of places to sit in the shade and have a snack, good bathroom facilities (and plenty of them), nice combo of sunny and shady pathways. Not to be missed!

We had the pleasure of riding a top of the line mountain ebike, I have been avoiding taking one for a ride as I was afraid I would like it. I was right, the staff at Tri-A-Bike were very helpful with setting up the bike and a short lesson on operation. Very easy to operate and settled right in, we rode up hill for many miles effortlessly and then off road into the desert. It was most Excellent, will do it again!

Marriott's Shadow Ridge Golf Club

Located in the Coachella Valley, Shadow Ridge Golf Club enjoys over 350 days of sunshine and blue skies every year. This beautiful and peaceful valley is often referred to as the "golf capital of the world" because of its ideal playing conditions and abundance of courses.

We love this beautiful golf course. It’s well-maintained with thick turf and forgiving wide fairways. The masked staff is courteous and helpful. There is covered parking close-by to help shield your car from the baking hot sun. Water hazard is a challenge at several holes, e.g. 5, 9, 13 and 18. The more prominent features are the prevalent sand traps, many quite deep, flanking the greens and along the way. This is a great place to practice getting out of bunker shots, for inevitably you will end up in one (because of COVID, raking after is not necessary). Speaking of bunkers we enjoyed the breakfast wraps served at the aptly-named Bunkers. We will definitely be back.
