Today i visited jivdani temple, i took a 5.41am dahanu local from Dadar. Its good if you start early. It took exactly 1 hour to reach virar. From virar east outside station you get share auto to the temple for rs.10 inr per person. As you reach the base their is a ganesha temple. It's a custom to visit Ganesha whenever you start something good.To reach the temple you need to climb 1400 steps. it's bit tiring.I saw people climbing the steps on their knees to complete their religious vows also called "navas" in marathi and "mannat" in hindi language. Once you climb this 1400 steps you reach the temple. Its very relaxing over here.Once you come out on the exit you have mahakali and kalbhairav temple.Again need to get down this 1400 steps but here you don't feel the stress. As you get down you have some small time eateries to have something and quench your thirst.Even the temple trust runs a small time eatery which gives 2 dilis and chutney for INR Rs.5/-.Overall it's a must visit place which can be a Sunday outing in itself.

Had a great trek. This trek is easy actually than it looks. Started at midnight and climbed the hill around 6:30am. The view surrounding the place was awesome. Try to spot the Bollywood star Salman Khan's farmhouse, it's clearly visible.

Mahalaxmi temple is situated just touching the highway on the Mumbai Ahmedabad route at Dahanu. It is around 92 KMs from Borivali. The deity is a swayambu. Thousands of devotees from Mumbai and Gujarat throng this place daily. Visit to this temple gives you peace of mind and positive energy. Snacks and refreshments are available near the temple. There is facility of toilets in the temple complex. Beautiful lotus is available here, which is offered to the Goddess Laxmi. Ample parking is available for cars and buses. We visit this place every year.

Tungareshwar is located at Vasai. One has to hire some vehicle or take a bus to reach this destination. There is approx 1-2hrs of trek to reach the temple. The forest is wide, dense & safe. The best time to visit is during Monsoons. But one has to be careful as the steps are sometimes slippery. There is also a waterfall on top. One can buy tea, coffee & other food items in between.

Exact replica of Shirdi. Do not forget to visit the Dwarkamai and Gurusthan and other places which are at the back side of the temple. You get lunch and dinner as well for a mere 40 Rs per person.

I went to Bassein Fort. Bassein Fort also known as Vasai Fort is an important sea fort located in Bassein, present day Vasai, at about 55-km from Mumbai. Built by Bahadur Shah, Sultan of Gujarat, it was initially one of a chain of forts intended to guard the coast against the Portuguese and the pirates. It is great place to go.
