UGOVEZZOLI Franciacorta began its activity in 1989, when Gian Lorenzo Vezzoli decided to start the production of Franciacorta wine on his own and founded a new winery which he named after his younger son, Ugo. Ever since, UGOVEZZOLI has constantly strived to optimize the balance between the production level of its 5 acres vineyard and the high quality of its wine, reaching now the level of 30.000 bottles. True to his winemaking philosophy, Gian Lorenzo has always favored quality over quantity, in a constant research of perfection for every one of his bottles. That is why every single step of the production process is still rigorously manual from the careful harvest of the grapes to the disgorgement and bottling. The winery is located in the ancient estate of the Vezzoli family: during the guided tour it is possible to visit the cellar, the vineyards and the garden where visitors can admire the majestic magnolias planted in the 19th century. The structure of the mansion itself presents a beautiful combination of different styles, testimony to the various architectural phases it went through since it was built in the 17th century.
