Bigaho Falls

Bigaho Falls is one of our tour destinations when while visiting San Vicente and this waterfall is the main highlight of our trip. From the beach shore, we walked to the waterfall for about 25 minutes. Before reaching the waterfall, we need to pay 50 pesos per person. When we reached the waterfall, we were the only people there. It's nice to have privacy on our own while enjoying the gift of nature.

Bulalacao Falls

Follow the signs on the main road it’s a pretty easy find, park up and pay 20php each for entry, the guys there was nice and helped us grab water from a small shop across the road. I’d advise you wear water shoes for the whole 20min ish walk as you’ll need to cross several small rivers (barely ankle deep) or like us you can skip some of the paths completely and follow the water. You’ll find amazing trees, great roots, centipedes and tonnes of frogs along the way and if you’re observant around the actual falls you’ll see some monkeys! We saw some climbing around the foliage just opposite the mouth of the falls and the played around for a while as we watched. The falls are 4 or 5 falls, you can climb up easily to the top. The water is a lovely temperature in my opinion although I heard people say it was too cold! Small area to actually swim but very nice and refreshing. You’ll pay a further 50php pp on arrival at the actual falls

Kuyawyaw Falls

The entrance fees totaled $6/person with a guide. The three falls all have different aspects to them which make them fun and interesting. We swam in the pools of all three. The second one was my favorite. My husband and I jumped off the edge of the rocks into the pool. Our guide showed us to the right spot to jump from. He took pictures with our phones as we enjoyed the falls. The hike to the third is not easy but enjoyable. There are rope handrails and the guide does whatever he can to help you. We rented our own car, so we were able to get to the falls about 10:00/10:30. This was perfect because it was before most other tourists. Our guide (Michael) was an excellent guide. He recommended we eat at the pizza place near the entrance to the falls. I ate at the restaurant. It was decent. I should have had pizza. My friend said it was the best pizza he had in the Philippines. Still not exactly like home but surprisingly good. We sat at the restaurant and he waitress took our order for both restaurants. We felt good about spending money in this small town and directly supporting local families. Everyone we interacted with was helpful and just wanted us to enjoy our time at Kuyawyaw Falls.
