I called here on a fairly gloomy/rainy day by it didn’t matter at all (with the right footwear and clothing) it’s still a great place to stretch your legs. The walking trail was good (not too strenuous) and lovely to get out in to hearing and seeing nature - also some good informative signs.

We camped at Thungutti for 2 nights. Had a thunderstorm on the first arvo, but it passed quickly. Toilet clean. Firewood and bbqs provided in all sites. Some have tables. Did one of the shorter walks called Tea Tree Falls. Had a dip in a small waterhole on the way. The view from the picnic ground 3km up the hill (drive to it) is amazing, goes all the way to the coast. Highly recommend if you love the bush and don’t want the crowds around Dorrigo.

It took me about 45 minutes to get to the summit after taking a little detour to see the WW2 gun emplacements. I wouldn’t even bother going to the WW2 gun emplacement as there is nothing to see here. It is abandoned and run down with a few posters to read about it. The walk to the summit has lots of steps that are very steep when walking up. If you suffer from knee or major health issues, I wouldn’t recommend you do the walk. I did see a fair few people over 60’s doing the walk. Wearing joggers is a must as there are parts of the walk that are un even, so please don’t wear sandals or flip flops. When you reach the top, the views are absolutely gorgeous. They are the type of views that you would see all over social media. I took some food with me and had a little picnic at the top while I rested and enjoyed the views. If your lucky enough, you might catch dolphins or whales swimming in the distance. Do yourself a favor, come here and do the walk. You won’t regret it, it’s great!

To be completely legit' you'll need a private car or a hired 4WD, as access is by 'unsealed road' that hire car companies don't generally want you on. Road conditions were good, and you get to explore a range of forest types, and can do an easy and short walk to Bangalore Falls. Probably not great for 2WD in wet conditions. I was chuffed to see Araucariaceae (native pines) for the first time this far south.

Was a great way to spend the morning walking through a natural Rainforest on a raised walking track. You could look down on the forest floor and sight Goannas and listen to the bird calls.

Our family camping getaway this year. Loved it. We had a caravan, mobile home and 3 tents. The wildlife was fantastic. We saw a massive lizard, sea hare and the rocks and shells were plentiful. No showers however the ocean was spectacular. Drop toilets were clean and didn't smell. We had a wonderful few days together.

We drove through the park to reach a great campsite near the beach at Seal Rocks. The tall trees are amazing! It was hard to find an easy route to view the lake, but the glimpses we caught were beautiful.
