Pacific Beach State Park is actually a campground right on the beach were the Joe Creek meets Pacific. We stayed here two nights. They have showers with hot water but you have to get tokens to use them. It is not expensive but one time the machine was broken and it was a big inconvenience for us. But the view from the campground is breathtaking. We stay at spot 20 and it was right on the beach ( at least it felt like right at the beach because there was no one else between us and the Pacific .

This museum focuses on life in the Moclips/Pacific Beach area.
Some fascinating artifacts, pictures, etc. explaining the history of Moclips and the area. The attendant was eager to share his knowledge when asked. Small, with limited room to display everything, so don't expect some sophisticated museum, but well worth a stop. (Only open weekends during...MoreThank you for your recent visit and hope you will return again. We are open every day during the summer months except Tuesdays & Wednesdays.

Went to Pacific Beach for the chocolate festival and came across this wonderful art gallery. The driftwood sculptures are some of the best I have seen. The artist Stephen was very friendly and informative. Each piece expresses his creativity. His wife’s art was also amazing...MoreCarolyn, Thank you for the wonderful compliment for Stephen's artwork! I swear he's blushing ;) Hopefully you'll come back to the beach before next year's chocolate festival. The weather is much friendlier during the summer than in February. Thank you also for the review!

This is a 1 1/2 mile beach. Beautiful sand, lots of shells. You enter and park near 10 picnic tables with water and restrooms. To get to the beach go farther down the road and take first left, wide path of sand and follow for about 1/4 mile and you will see a large bridge. Cross the bridge, over the dune and a beautiful beach and ocean is in front of you. We went mid week, only six other people on this LARGE beach.
Also, if you go a couple miles farther up the road on the left you will see a sign that says "Public beach access". This is another very large beach that you can drive vehicles on but there are no facilities.
